Because that is all of it

The Aramaic portions of the Hebrew Bible are short — Daniel 2–7, Ezra 4–7, and one verse in Jeremiah. The entire vocabulary is 675 words.

Most Aramaic study tools give you a publisher's selection. This app covers the complete corpus: every Aramaic word in the Hebrew Bible, derived from the Westminster Leningrad Codex rather than any textbook's list — so if a word is in the text, it is in the app.

Every word is rendered in the Ezra SIL square script with full vowel points, the same typography used in the critical texts, so what you study is what you will read on the page.

Learn it by frequency, or read it in order

Three ways through the same 675 words, plus the study modes you already know from the Hebrew app.

Frequent Words All 675 words, commonest first — the fastest path to reading readiness.
Reading Daniel Words in the order you meet them in Daniel 2–7, so chapter two stops being a wall of unknowns.
Reading Ezra The Ezra sections in reading order — the correspondence and the decree, word by word.
Alphabet & vowels Dedicated decks for the square script and the vowel pointing, before you touch vocabulary.

Each track works with flashcards, quizzes, matching games and guided review, all scheduled by SM-2 spaced repetition — struggle with a word and it comes back sooner; master it and it fades to longer intervals. Search runs across the whole vocabulary, you can build custom review lists from any source, and progress tracking keeps score of what you actually know.

Android standalone, iOS inside the Hebrew app

On Android, Biblical Aramaic Vocabulary is a complete standalone app ($4.99). On iOS, the Aramaic vocabulary ships as a one-time $1.99 unlock inside Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary — same 675 words, same three study tracks: Core Vocabulary by frequency, Reading Daniel, and Reading Ezra, using the same flashcards, quizzes, matching games and spaced repetition.

Fully offline, no account required, and no data collected.

Questions, answered

Why only 675 words?
Because the Aramaic corpus of the Hebrew Bible is exactly that size. The Aramaic portions are Daniel 2:4–7:28, parts of Ezra 4–7, and Jeremiah 10:11. Every Aramaic word in those texts is in the app — there is nothing left to add.
Where does the word list come from?
The Westminster Leningrad Codex — the same text behind the standard critical editions of the Hebrew Bible — not a textbook publisher's list. If it is Aramaic and it is in the text, it is in the app.
What script and font does it use?
The Ezra SIL square script with full vowel points — the typography designed for exactly this text, so the forms you study match what you will read.
How do I get it on iPhone or iPad?
Install Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary from the App Store, then unlock the Aramaic pack inside it for $1.99 — a one-time purchase. On Android it is a standalone app for $4.99.
Does it work offline?
Completely. No account, no analytics, no network needed — nothing you do leaves your device.
I'm also studying Hebrew — is there a companion app?
Yes: Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary covers 5,000+ words from eight textbooks and the top 1,000 frequent Hebrew words, and Biblical Greek Vocabulary does the same for New Testament Greek.
