Prizles — the daily word prism puzzle

One word. Three angles. How fast can you see it?

Free 📱 iOS 🤖 Android 🌐 Web

Four words a day, three clues each

A fresh set of four prizles lands every day. Each one hides a single word behind three clues of decreasing difficulty.

Start with the purple clue — the hardest, often cryptic in the style of a crossword. Guess right there and you score 3 points. Miss, and the yellow clue reveals itself for 2 points. Still stuck? The green clue is a near-giveaway for 1 point. Four words, twelve points on the table. Can you go perfect?

Track your streak, study your clue breakdown, and share your result with one tap — spoilers not included.

🟣 Purple — 3 points Cryptic clues: double definitions, hidden words, charades, reversals, acrostics, word-within and more.
🟡 Yellow — 2 points Medium clues: homophones, compounds, before & after, first & last letters, antonym pairs, categories.
🟢 Green — 1 point Easy clues: plain definitions, rhymes, fill-in-the-blank, letter addition, simple anagrams.

19 clue types, and every one is teachable

Prizles borrows from cryptic crossword tradition but never leaves you stranded: tap any clue type during play and the app explains exactly how it works.

Questions, answered

Everything people usually ask before their first prizle.

Is Prizles free?
Yes. The daily set of four puzzles is free forever on the web, iOS and Android. An optional premium subscription adds the puzzle archive and bonus packs — it is not required to play today's puzzle or keep your streak.
How is Prizles different from Wordle?
Wordle asks you to guess one word from letter-position feedback. Prizles is clue-based: each of the four daily words comes with three clues at different difficulty tiers, and your score depends on how early you solve it — 3 points on the cryptic purple clue, 2 on yellow, 1 on green. Think of it as a daily cryptic-crossword workout that anyone can finish.
What is a "prizle"?
A single puzzle: one hidden word refracted through three clues — purple, yellow and green — like light through a prism. Solve four of them each day.
Do I need an account?
No. On the web you can play at prizles.com without creating an account, and your stats stay on your device.
What does premium unlock?
